Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is Legit
Rumored to have existed for several months under the moniker "Title Fight", PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is currently under development at SuperBot Entertainment. It's difficult not to get excited about the possibility that, while undeniably similar to Smash Bros., it could turn out to be a very strong game in its own right.

Six characters have been confirmed for this highly anticipated title so far, and the cast represents some of PlayStation's biggest franchises. Fat Princess, Parappa the Rapper and Sly Cooper join the likes of Twisted Metal's - Sweet Tooth, Killzone's - Colonel Radec and God of War's - Kratos on the preliminary roster, though Sony will reveal many more characters leading up to the game's launch, which should occur during the lead-up to 2012's holiday season. 'Midnight Purple' Nintendo 3DS may be hitting stores soon
Technically we've known Nintendo has had its eyes on a purple 3DS for almost two years now. When the publisher unveiled the portable back at E3 2010, it displayed a number of conceptual color variations, including red, teal, orange and purple. (Two of those have now made it to stores.) According to a recent retailer listing discovered by GoNintendo, the purple edition might be on its way.

Called 'Midnight Purple', the 3DS has no release date or affiliated bundle. (Click Here To Read More)

Call Of Duty : Black Ops 2 Confirmed
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been confirmed as the next Call of Duty game. While the title has been long-rumored and hinted at by several leaks and rumors, an image of a Target pre-order card circulating around the net, has confirmed the game's title and release date.

As shown on the card, the game hits stores on November 13, 2012 and will be headed to at least PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Black Ops 2 will be formally announced on May 1st during the NBA playoffs.

New Super Marios Bros 2 will be Downloadable
When Nintendo revealed New Super Mario Bros. 2 (NSMB2) late last week, many noticed the company classified the game as both a traditional retail offering as well as an eShop game.

Nintendo plans to allow consumers to purchase NSMB2 in a traditional boxed form, or in a downloadable, eShop-based format that can be stored on a SD card. The publisher will also allow retailers to sell the game in this format through a 16-digit downloadable code similar to eShop currency 'gift cards' that are currently on sale.

Nintendo's $530 Million Loss
Nintendo continues to lose incredible sums of money, even as the company's new portable dominates the Japanese market and its reported losses were less than its previous estimates. For the 2011 fiscal year (April 2011 through March 2012), Nintendo posted a historic first-ever net loss of $530 million dollars.

Hardware sales didn't quite hit Nintendo's estimates posted just three months prior, which were themselves revised downward from previous expectations. Globally the Nintendo 3DS sold 13.51 million units, Wii sold 9.84 million units and the DS 'family' sold 5.1 million units. Previous estimates were 14 million 3DSs, 10 million Wiis and 5.5 million units DSs. Software sales for the year were 36 million, 102.37 million and 60.82 million units respectively.
